Macintosh and iPhone software updates and announcements for July 23, 2008:
- WebIS introduced Note2Self 1.0, their easy-to-use audio recorder for Apple iPhone. Designed from the ground up to take advantage of the iPhone’s unique abilities and interface, Note2Self keeps track of task items via the e-mail inbox.
- Houdah Software has released HoudahSpot 2.2, their popular search utility for Mac OS X Leopard. HoudahSpot 2.2 revamps the BlitzSearch feature. BlitzSearch combines the simplicity of Spotlight with the power of HoudahSpot. Additionally, HoudahSpot 2.2 improves AppleScript support, as well as integration with third party tools PathFinder, LaunchBar and QuickSilver.
- Extensis this week celebrates its fifteen-year anniversary as a local, Oregon-based software developer. To commemorate this milestone, Extensis is holding an anniversary celebration for employees, including activities centered on supporting community service. All the funds raised by Extensis employees during the anniversary celebration will be matched by Extensis and donated to The Oregon Food Bank.
